Results
The average lipid droplets per cell in the palmitoleic acid was 24.92, while the oleic acid was 21.68. Droplets were counted on ImageJ software. The mean, standard deviation, standard error, and student t-test were all calculated via excel spreadsheet.
The average number of lipid droplets after the addition of palmitoleic acid or oleic acid. The control (ethanol added) indicated no visible lipid droplets. Conditions were compared via students t-test; P-value equals 0.95.
